Title: Personalised Travel Itinerary Generator

Objective:

Create a web application that generates personalized travel itineraries based on user preferences, such as budget, interests, and trip duration. Functionally, an ideal solution should offer a user-friendly interface for inputting preferences and deliver detailed, dynamic itineraries tailored to individual users.

This is your opportunity to show off — your back-end skills (data store design and APIs), front-end skills, and / or overall solution design skills, etc — but also feel free to mock any areas you like.

Bonus: The task is fairly open-ended - Be creative. We’d love to be wowed!

Task Details:

1. Coding Task:

  • Code Quality: Is the code clean, well-structured, and documented?
  • Creativity: Any additional features that enhance the user experience?
  • Approach: The logic and approach used to solve the problem.
  • Solution: The effectiveness of the solution in addressing the challenge.

2. Communication Task:

• Requirement: Prepare a short video (5-7 minutes) and / or a written document (2-3 pages) that gives a clear and concise explanation of your application. You might want to cover:
  • The overall architecture of the application.
  • Justifying your key decisions (e.g. why certain technologies were chosen).
  • Any interesting nuances in the implementation.
  • Any challenges you faced and how they were resolved.
  • Suggestions for potential improvements.
• Evaluation Criteria:
  • Clarity: How clearly the candidate explains their approach and solution.
  • Structure: The logical flow of the presentation and / or document.
  • Technical understanding: How well does the candidate explain their choices and thought process? Have they demonstrated a depth of understanding of the technologies used?
  • Professionalism: The tone and format of the document.

Submission Guidelines:

• Code:
  • Upload your project to a GitHub repository. To prevent plagiarism, we recommend using a meaningless or obfuscated project name. Share the repository link via email.
  • If applicable, deploy your application on services such as Netlify or Vercel, and send us the link to your deployed project via email.
• Presentation and/or Documentation: Provide links to your presentation video and/or documentation (in PDF format) via email.
